This looks like quite an interesting program. I am currently creating a game with Reality Factory but am considering to moving to this. Before I invest my time into this though, I have a few questions.
How hard would it be to create a decent game with this? (scripting?/coding?)
Would I need to use Milkshape to create actors? (I am more comfortable with another 3D modeler)
This allows me to create multiplayer games right? If so, how strong of a computer would be required to run a decent server?
Can I create singles player games?

Maybe change the Shattered World game such as change the models, try some SWLPC scripting and see if you find it too hard. Its designed to be flexible so that you can use many muds. Because its not cookie cutter in design the number of options you have might be overwhelming.

Should be able to load a lot of different actor formats like Half Life and Quake. You could always load into Milkshape and save in Milkshape format if it doesnt.

It runs standard muds which tend not to need powerful servers. Some muds can hold a few hundred players on a standard server.

The game works as a mud client connecting to a mud server. If you can get the mud server and mud client running on the same computer you can play it is a single player. You'd need to use smaugfuss or wiki/circlemud as they can run on windows but swlpc cannot. Smaugfuss and cirlcemud arent as well developed as swlpc so you'd need to modify them yourself to get them working as good as SWLPC. I'm hoping people from the Smaugfuss and Circlemud community will be interested in doing this.
Another option is to get swlpc working on windows which I havent managed to do.
